Four Nobel Truth and the Eight Fold Path

ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོའི་མདོ་དང་སཱ་ལུའི་ལྗང་པའི་མདོ།

སྡུག་ཀུན་འགོག་ལམ་བདེན་པ་བཞི། ལྟ་རྟོགས་ངག་ལས་འཚོ་རྩོལ་དང་།
དྲན་ཏིང་ཡང་དག་འཕགས་ལམ་བརྒྱད། ཤེས་སྒོམ་ལ་བརྩོན་རིགས་ཀྱི་བུ།

ཆོས་ཀྱི་འཁོར་ལོའི་མདོ་ལས། དགེ་སློང་དག །ང་སྔོན་མ་ཐོས་པའི་ཆོས་རྣམས་ལ། འདི་ནི་སྡུག་བསྔལ་འཕགས་པའི་བདེན་པའོ་ཞེས་ཚུལ་བཞིན་ཡིད་ལ་བྱེད་པ་ན་མིག་སྐྱེས་སོ། །ཤེས་པ་དང་། རིག་པ་དང་། བློ་དང་། རྟོགས་པ་སྐྱེས་སོ།

འཕགས་པ་སཱ་ལུའི་ལྗང་པའི་མདོ་ལས། ཆོས་གང་ཞེ་ན། འཕགས་པའི་ལམ་ཡན་ལག་བརྒྱད་པ་སྟེ། འདི་ལྟ་སྟེ། ༡༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་ལྟ་བ་དང་། ༢༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་རྟོགས་པ་དང་། ༣༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་ངག་དང་། ༤༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་ལས་ཀྱི་མཐའ་དང་། ༥༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་འཚོ་བ་དང་། ༦༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་རྩོལ་བ་དང་། ༧༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་དྲན་པ་དང་། ༨༽ ཡང་དག་པའི་ཏིང་ངེ་འཛིན་ཏོ།

འདི་ནི་འཕགས་པའི་ལམ་ཡན་ལག་བརྒྱད་པ་ཞེས་བྱ་སྟེ། འབྲས་བུ་ཐོབ་པ་དང་། མྱ་ངན་ལས་འདས་པ་གཅིག་ཏུ་བསྡུས་ཏེ། བཅོམ་ལྡན་འདས་ཀྱི་ཆོས་སོ་ཞེས་བཀའ་སྩལ་ཏོ།

From the Sutra of the Wheel of Dharma: Monks, as I correctly paid attention to the things that I had not hitherto heard, thinking, 'This is suffering, a truth of noble beings' vision arose; knowledge, awareness, understanding, and realization arose.

Monks, as I correctly paid attention to the things that I had not hitherto heard, thinking, 'This suffering, this is the origin of suffering, this is the cessation , and this is the path that leads to the cessation of suffering,' vision arose; knowledge, awareness, understanding, and realization arose.

Monks, as I correctly paid attention to the things that I had not hitherto heard, thinking, 'With higher knowledge I should comprehend suffering, that truth of noble beings'; 'I should get rid of the origin of suffering, that truth of noble beings'; 'I should actualize the knowledge of the cessation of suffering, that truth of noble beings'; and 'I should cultivate the path that leads to the cessation of suffering, that truth of noble beings' vision arose; knowledge, awareness, understanding, and realization arose.

Monks, as I correctly paid attention to the things that I had not hitherto heard, thinking, 'With higher knowledge I have comprehended suffering, that truth of noble beings'; 'I have relinquished the origin of suffering, that truth of noble beings'; 'I have actualized the cessation of suffering, that truth of noble beings' and 'I have cultivated the path that leads to the cessation of suffering, that truth of noble beings' vision arose; knowledge, awareness, understanding, and realization arose. 

From the Rice Seedling Sutra: What is Dharma? The Dharma is the eight fold path of the noble ones: 1) right view, 2) right thought, 3) right speech, 4) right end of action, 5) right livelihood, 6) right effort, 7) right mindfulness, and 8) right concentration. This eight fold path of the noble ones, combined with the attainment of its results and nirvana, is what the Bhagavan has called the Dharma.
